Frederic observes a reluctance in the New Age movement to promote or market oneself, while pushing people to buy is a push energy usually based on fear, and asks where the balance lies.
The Wonders say many New Agers believe they need not express themselves at all — sit on a mountain navel-gazing and everything will come — and while the mountain does eventually come to Mohammed, it can take a very long time.
They encourage manifesting one's brilliance, part of which is expressing with clarity who one is, what one does and how one shares oneself.
The more one shares without demanding that others buy, agree or buy in, the more one expresses one's truth — which most New Agers talk about endlessly but fear too much to actually express.
Their 'new marketing' is therefore to express one's truth using all the amazing techniques and methodologies available, but never tailoring that truth to a particular market or group.
It is not about changing or forcing people, only saying: this is who I am, this is what I am about.
If corporations understood this, they could connect with humanity through a resonance of realness, whereas marketing today is mostly a tool to befuddle the consumer into buying.
Frederic's initiative of asking forum members to share their experiences fits this direction.
Practically, they agree the more real one is, the more people buy the product or service, because they are buying a part of the person; if it is merely something assembled to convince them, why would they buy it?
