Frederic asks whether everyone has a strong mind, since the Wonders have often said he does.
They say not really, and describe variations: some minds are so strong they completely negate the connection to the spirit being; some are courageous and willing to choose, which helps in exploring; some excel at puzzles and mathematics; some are strong in stubbornness, staying fixed in the mind.
His own mind was strong in sticking to its perception of reality without moving beyond it, but over the years he has chosen to command it, so its strength is now used more productively for the whole of himself, continuing the exploration despite fear.
Asked whether he chose to have a strong mind, they confirm it: at incarnation the spirit being's first tool was the mind, and it created a strong one because his circumstances required it - without it he would not have survived his father or his life and would have committed suicide long ago.
His strength of mind kept him focused and able to overcome adversity and choose differently.
A weaker mind would not have given a stronger connection; rather, now that he has survived and built a new life, the time has come to use his mind's strength differently: to reconnect and stay connected to his spirit being, expand his self-perspective, shift his ego and personality, and create a completely different life.
